Funding Guidelines:

The Exhibition Industry Foundation provides support for projects that are supportive of its mission and have the
potential to broadly impact and enhance the exhibitions industry.

  • What We Do Not Fund: The Exhibition Industry Foundation does not fund projects that benefit an individual’s personal interests or business, any commercial ventures, investment or venture capital proposals, capital improvements, the acquisition of business equipment or supplies, endowments or other projects or initiatives that do not support EIF’s mission and purpose.
  • Who is Eligible? Applicants must be professionally or academically involved in the exhibition and events industry or enrolled or affiliated with a university with an accredited exhibition and/or meetings program or seeking to establish such a program.
  • Proposal Deadlines: Proposals are accepted at anytime. E‐mailed proposals are accepted, but are not considered complete until a hard copy is received. An e‐mail message verifying receipt of the proposal will be sent to the contact person by EIF administrative staff.

Grant Making Timetable:

Proposals are evaluated by the Exhibition Industry Foundation Grant Review Committee within thirty days of receipt of the proposal. After review by the committee, a proposal is either recommended to the Exhibition Industry Foundation Board of Trustees for approval of funding, rejected, or postponed for more information gathering. The Board of Trustees will either meet at a regularly scheduled meeting or by e‐mail to review and vote on the proposal within two weeks of receipt of the recommendation from the Grant Review Committee. In any case, the contact person named on the application will be notified by mail of the decision by the Grant Review Committee, and if applicable, the funding decision of the Board of Trustees.
